Amanda Duran Represents Bergen at Seton Hall
Amanda Duran represented Bergen Community College at the National Association for Girls and Women in Sports (NAGWS), on Saturday, January 28th
Paramus, NJ - Bergen Community College's Amanda Duran (Hackensack, NJ) was honored on Saturday, January 28th at Seton Hall University. Amanda was chosen to represent Bergen Community College's Athletic Program at the 2016 National Association for Girls and Women in Sports (NAGWS).
National Association for Girls and Women in Sports (NAGWS) honors one female student athlete of all High Schools, 2 year Colleges and 4 year Colleges of NJ every year. All college athletes were honored at half time during Seton Hall University's Women's' Basketball game.
The NJAIAW Woman of the Year Award honors senior student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership.
Amanda Duran is a sophomore at Bergen Community College. She is a multi-sport athlete who has excelled in the classroom and for her team. Amada was the Co-Captain of the Women's Cross Country team that has recently won their first region title since 1989. She made First team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference after finishing in 7th place in the Region XIX Meet this past Fall. Amanda is looking to bring her successful experience and hard work to the 2017 Women's Track & Field Team. In the classroom Amanda received All-Region and All-Conference Academic honors in 2016.
Bergen's Athletic Department is very proud of Amanda and all that she has achieved for herself and for her teams. Go Bulldogs!!!
