ESPORTS IS COMING TO BCC THIS SPRING 2021

Paramus, NJ -  Bergen Community College (BCC) has now entered the Esports world and is ready to begin its new journey in the Spring 2021 semester.  The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has begun the NJCAAE, which leads community colleges into the world of Esports.  The NJCAAE will use the GenerationsEsports platform for competition between colleges all over the nation and possibly around the world in the near future.  Students must be registered for at least 6 credits at Bergen Community College in order to participate in the Spring 2021 semester. Student must also sign a letter of intent (LOI) after registering for Esports, which the athletic department will provide once registration has been received.  Esports Students will play from home during the Spring semester.  Registration is now open and can be done by clicking on this link:  https://www.bergenccbulldogs.com/information/Esports_Registration. Bergen Community College Athletics program will sponsor several sports on the GenerationEsports platform in Spring 2021. GenerationEsports has not yet sent out the spring schedule, but has confirmed that the season will begin in January 31.  Games that BCC will be sponsoring and game schedule as of today are below.

• Overwatch (PC only)

• Rocket League

• Valorant

• Call of Duty Modern Warfare (warzone duos, gunfight 2v2, 4-week trial)

• Call of Duty Cold War (modes TBD, 4-week trial)

• Hearthstone

• NBA2k

*In the event there are not enough teams on a title, we will not offer the title.
