Bergen Community College Men’s Wrestling Shines at Bob Quade Cyclone Open
PARAMUS, N.J. — Bergen Community College men's wrestling delivered an impressive showing at the Bob Quade Cyclone Open, highlighted by a dominant tournament championship performance from Kai Argyros, who captured 1st place at 197 lbs with a flawless run through the bracket.
Argyros opened the day in commanding fashion, posting back-to-back technical fall victories—20-5 in Round 1 and 19-4 in Round 2—before advancing through the semifinals with a 12-3 major decision. In the championship bout, Argyros continued his momentum, securing the title with a decisive 14-2 major decision to cap one of the strongest individual performances of the tournament.

At 125 lbs, Daron DePriest earned an impressive 9-1 victory in his opening-round match, showcasing his pace and technique early in the day.
At 184 lbs, Ayden Patchin advanced to the semifinals behind a pair of standout wins: a 15-3 major decision in Round 1 and a pin at 3:33 in Round 2, continuing his consistent progression on the season.
