PARAMUS, N.J.—The Bergen Community College men's soccer team improved its record to 2–1 with a decisive 6–0 victory over Montgomery County College on September 2.
The Bulldogs' attack came alive in the second half, with goals from Daniel Lin, Gianfranco Appezzato, Jesus Garcia, Matthew Zarraga, and Samuel Solis, while Oscar Gomez tallied two assists. Freshman midfielder Matthew Zarraga led the way with two goals and an assist. Goalkeeper Allenzo Conner anchored the defense, recording a clean sheet with three saves.
With the win, Bergen now looks ahead to its first home game of the season on Saturday, September 6, when they host Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC). Kickoff is set for noon at the Bergen Community College Soccer Field.
"We're proud of how the team responded after the opening games of the season," said Head Coach Jonathan Sanchez. "The players are building chemistry and momentum, and we're excited to bring that energy home in front of our fans this weekend."
