Final Day at Nationals
Men's Track & Field finishes strong at NJCAA National Meet.
Paramus, NJ - Bergen's Men's Track & Field team finished strong in the final day at the 2017 NJCAA DIII National Meet. The team finished tied for 14th place with 16 points. There were a lot of great finishes which led to NJCAA All-American and USTFCCCA All-Americans honors.
Connor Best led the way, by finishing in second place in the Discus event. His discus throw of 40.57m earned in NJCAA DIII Second Team All-American and USTFCCCA All-American.
Connor McGillick earned USTFCCCA All-American after finishing in 6th place with a time of 35:06.04 in the 10,000 Meter race.
Mateusz Wierzba also received USTFCCCA All-American honors after finishing in 5th place in the Triple Jump event with a distance of 13.52m.
On the final day, Muhammad Ombali earned USTFCCA All-American after finishing in 8th place in the 110 Meter race. His time of 16.93 clinched him All-American status.
Bergen had some bright spots all season. The team will miss two strong leaders, in sophomores Connor McGillick & Justin Jusino, the Athletic Department wishes them the best in their future endeavors. Go Bulldogs!!!
