MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TAKES FIRST PLACE IN THE 2016 GSAC Conference
Bergen Bulldogs win back to back Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) titles
Paramus, NJ - Men's Cross Country won The Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Championship this past Sunday.
Freshman, Christopher Loughman (Cliffside Park), made First Team All-GSAC by finishing in fifth place. Loughman finished with a time of 28:47.32
Freshman, Andy Jaipersaud (Bogota), made Second Team All-GSAC by finishing in 9th place. Jaipersaud finished with a time of 29:31.57.
Sophomer, Daniel Silver (Fair Lawn), made Second Team All-GSAC by finishing in 10th place. Silver finished with a time of 29:42.05.
Bergen then had a pack coming in right behind the 10th place spot, which led to the championship. Sophomore, Connor McGillick (Saddle Brook), led the pack with a time of 30:03.64 and in 13th place. He was followed by freshman, Joe Lopez, with a time of 30:05.24 (15th place) and was the clincher for the championship.
Freshman, Malhar Vyas, finished in 16th place with a time of 30:11.79. Freshman, Hector Cruz (Paterson), finished in the top 20 in 19th place with a time of 30:31.11. Sophomore, Porfirio Olivas (Garfield), was close behind (22nd place) with a time of 31:03.24.
Freshmen Nikko Reyes (Bergenfield) and Steven Almanzar (Garfield) finished in the top 40.
