Bergen sweeps Montgomery
Paramus, NJ - Bergen softball made up some ground by sweep the Mustangs in Montgomery, PA. Bergen won the first game by a score of 13-5 and won the second game by a shutout of 11-0. Bergen's record is now 4-6 in the region and 5-6 overall.
In the first game, Linzi Reginald faced 19 batters for the win and her record is back to .500. She pitched 5 innings allowing three hits and striking out 6. Stephanie Ramos led the hitting by going 2-3 with two runs scored. Sarah Brading went 2-4 with three RBI.
In the second game, Sarah Brading threw six innings of shutout ball allowing 4 hits and striking out seven batters. Offense was led by Stephanie Ramos who went 4-5 with two runs, a stolen base and RBI. Brianna Montenegro went 3-5 with a run, two stolen bases and two RBI. Brianne Tunik also had two hits going 2-4 with two runs scored and a RBI. Kara Woegens had two stolen bases and went 2-4 with a run and RBI.
