Bergen Softball Outlasts Camden County in High-Scoring 15-13 Victory
Camden, NJ – Bergen Community College softball earned an exciting 15-13 road victory over Camden County College on April 7, using a balanced offensive attack and timely hitting to secure the win.
Bergen jumped out early and maintained pressure throughout, scoring in multiple innings to build momentum in what turned into an offensive battle. The team finished with 15 runs on 13 hits, showcasing depth throughout the lineup.
Ariana Garo led the charge offensively, recording two hits and driving in a pair of runs, including a key extra-base hit. Ava de Baar also contributed two RBIs, while Katelyn McQuade and Angelica Velez each added two hits and drove in runs to help pace Bergen's attack. Andrea Rey and Shelby Perez chipped in with multiple RBIs as well, rounding out a strong collective effort at the plate.
Bergen's aggressiveness on the bases played a role in the victory, with multiple stolen bases helping to create scoring opportunities and keep pressure on the Camden defense.
In the circle, Helayna Stamm got the start before Kaylen Triana provided a steady relief effort, working the majority of the game to help secure the win despite Camden's late push.
Camden County kept the game close throughout, totaling 13 runs on 12 hits, but Bergen responded in key moments to maintain its edge and close out the contest.
