Bergen at Regions/Districts

Paramus, NJ - Bergen's Wrestling team traveled to Thaddeus Stevens College on Saturday, February 10th for the Regionals and Eastern District II Tournament.   Bergen had one qualifier for nationals out six wrestlers versus some very difficult competition and a couple unfortunate injuries.    Anthony Romero had a big day after finishing in second place in the 133lbs. weight class.   

Sophomores Luke Bohn and Christopher Rosario were knocked out early in their weight classes.   Freshman Rey Miller and Lawrence Ortiz were close, but were unable to qualify for nationals.   Ryan Foy had his best performance of the year, but also came up short after losing a very exciting match.  Bergen wishes their sophomores the best in the future endeavors and look forward to a strong off-season to replace these wonderful student-athletes.
