Bergen Volleyball Secures 3–1 Victory Over Queensborough
Paramus, NJ – The Bergen Community College Bulldogs women's volleyball team earned a hard-fought 3–1 win over Queensborough Community College on Saturday afternoon at home, bouncing back after dropping the opening set to claim the next three (21–25, 25–21, 25–20, 25–19).
The Bulldogs displayed resilience and depth, with several players delivering standout performances. Sophomore outside hitter Brianna Bermeo anchored the attack with a team-high 14 kills to go along with 23 digs, recording a double-double that fueled Bergen's comeback.
Setter Angela Korca orchestrated the offense with 24 assists while adding nine digs and two service aces. Fellow sophomore Daniela Cardona made her presence felt behind the service line, tallying a match-high 11 aces while also contributing six kills and a team-leading 25 digs.
Defensive specialist Hailey Peña provided stability in the back row with 16 digs and five aces, while Julia Semon chipped in six kills and three aces. Middle blocker Grace Dumont added key defensive stops at the net with two blocks.
As a team, Bergen dominated from the service line, posting 21 aces compared to Queensborough's nine, while also recording 85 digs in a strong defensive showing.
With the win, Bergen improves its early-season record and continues building momentum for regional play.
