Bergen Men’s Basketball Secures Gritty Road Victory Over Thaddeus Stevens, 84–81
Lancaster, Pa. – November 22, 2025 — Bergen Community College men's basketball battled back from a halftime deficit to earn a hard-fought 84–81 road win over Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on Saturday afternoon.
After trailing 47–34 at the break, the Bulldogs erupted for a 50-point second half, showcasing resilience and composure in a tight contest that came down to the final possessions.
Evan Meberg powered the Bulldogs with a dominant performance, scoring 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting while pulling down 11 rebounds for a double-double. Sharp-shooting guard Jeremy Polanco knocked down five three-pointers on his way to an 18-point outing, providing critical scoring to fuel Bergen's comeback.
Freshman guard Daizon Pauldo delivered a standout effort off the bench, posting 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting while providing a major spark in the comeback effort.
Forward Jaheim Best added 13 points and six rebounds, while Tyler Brown anchored the paint with nine boards and six points. Ezana Negusse contributed seven rebounds and four points as Bergen controlled the glass, outrebounding the home squad 37–40.
Defensively, the Bulldogs tightened up down the stretch, holding Thaddeus Stevens to just 34 points in the second half after allowing 47 before the break.
