Bergen Women’s Soccer Dominates in 4–0 Victory Over Atlantic Cape
Paramus, N.J. – The Bergen Community College women's soccer team continued its strong start to the 2025 season with a commanding 4–0 win over Atlantic Cape Community College on September 11 at home. The Bulldogs (2-0) controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the Buccaneers 20–4 and recording their second straight clean sheet.
Freshman forward Kaia Warn led the offensive surge, striking twice for Bergen. Warn opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with an unassisted goal and added her second early in the second half, assisted by Brianna Ramos. Ramos later added a goal of her own in the 69th minute to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 3–0.
The scoring was capped in the 81st minute when Kimberly Guaman powered home an unassisted effort to secure the 4–0 final.
Defensively, Bergen was anchored by goalkeeper Ashly Urquia, who stopped both Atlantic Cape shots on target to preserve the shutout. The Bulldogs' back line, led by Arlin Medina and Helen Lema, allowed few chances and kept Atlantic Cape on the defensive for most of the match.
Atlantic Cape goalkeeper Millinda Marigliano made eight saves under heavy pressure but was unable to contain Bergen's relentless attack.
Bergen also dominated in set pieces, earning eight corner kicks to Atlantic Cape's two, and matched the visitors evenly in fouls (four apiece).
"This was another strong all-around performance," said Bergen head coach Anthony Bowles. "We moved the ball well, created quality chances, and defended with discipline. I'm proud of how the team is coming together early in the season."
