Bergen Volleyball Sweeps Delaware County in Straight Sets
MEDIA, Pa. – The Bergen Community College women's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance on the road, sweeping Delaware County Community College in straight sets (25-9, 25-16, 25-16) on Wednesday, September 10. The victory improves the Bulldogs' record to 3-0 on the season.
Bergen controlled the match from the start, showcasing a balanced offensive attack and strong serving presence. Julia Semon led all players with 12 kills on an impressive .478 hitting percentage, while also adding three service aces to finish with a match-high 15 points.
Setter Angela Korca kept the offense running smoothly, dishing out 27 assists and collecting 11 digs for a strong all-around performance. At the service line, Hailey Peña was a difference-maker, recording six aces and adding 14 digs, while Brianna Bermeo chipped in nine kills and 11 digs for a double-digit effort.
The Bulldogs' aggressive serving proved decisive, as Bergen tallied 16 aces as a team, consistently putting Delaware County on the defensive. Defensively, the Bulldogs recorded 45 digs, limiting the hosts to zero recorded kills across all three sets.
